Holiday Inn Half-Marathon 2007
After a week of rain and flooding, Saturday August 26th  greeted over 800 Holiday Inn Half-Marathon runners with a sunny sky and ideal cool temperature.  Starting at the Holiday Inn in downtown Rochester, the course follows residential streets for several blocks then takes to the Bear Creek bike trail, which had been flooded until late the day before.

Exiting the bike trail at Pinewood School, the course follows Pinewood Road and into the rural area south of highway 52 to the turnaround point then doubles back on itself and returns via Bear Creek trail to the finish at Mayo Civic Center.

Other than the expected traffic congestion on Pinewood Road and a medical incident, the race went smoothy. Runners and staff enjoyed ice cream bars at the finish.
