December 8 RARC Presidents Address

The Rochester Amateur Radio Club (RARC) Holiday Party will be held at 6 p.m. this coming Tuesday December 8th at Old Country Buffet, 1300 Salem Rd SW, in Rochester.

Our December club meeting will be the annual Christmas (Holiday?) Party, starting at 6pm at the Old Country Buffet -- across 52 from Apache Mall.

Bring yourselves, your families and friends, and, if you like, something to Show and Tell. (preferably radio-related, but really anything is ok). (almost anything.) See you there!

RARC party -- meals and dues

Our treasurer reminds me that I was supposed to remind everyone that dues are due --- $25, or $35 for families. And, you'll need to pay for your meal, for yourself and all the friends and family that you bring, so bring some money.

We'll have a short business meeting at 7pm, to elect officers and, if we can, to vote on the proposed complimentary membership for RARC students.

The weather is expected to be frightful, but it looks like it won't get windy till late tonight. Since conditions within Rochester are usually ok, we're going to forge ahead with the RARC Holiday party, as planned.

If you live outside of Rochester, please consider staying home. Snow is expected to be light till sunset, picking up after that, with high winds developing late. These conditions will make driving on county roads hard to impossible. We'll have a make-up party for those who miss it.

But if you live in town, come on down!
