The annual Rochester Amateur Radio Club (RARC) Picnic
will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday August 12th at
Oxbow Park, 5731 County Rd 105 NW, Byron, MN
August meeting of the RARC - PICNIC TIME!
Good evening everyone!
I want to extend my gratitude to everyone that participated with the Expo.
Almost without exception it is felt the event was a huge success for the RARC.
We learned a tremendous amount through the process, both individually and as a
group, and I believe we are all richer for the experience. In the coming weeks
we will debrief the event, tabulate the results and will report our outcome at
the September meeting.
As is the RARC tradition, we will be having our Annual RARC picnic - again
at Oxbow Park on Tuesday August 12th, from 6pm - 9pm. Attendance by family
members is not only welcome, but DESIRED! We will be meeting at the
"2nd Bridge" Shelter, where we held last year's picnic. There will be signage
directing you to the Shelter. Caitlin, KDØAFG has been instrumental in
the planning of this event.
As a means of demonstrating my personal gratitude to the Club members for
all their hard work they do all year, I'll be supplying the meat for this event.
The club will supply the beverages and plates/utensils. Please bring a side
dish, buns, chips, or a dessert to pass. Feel free to bring a football or
volleyball and any lawn games you think would be fun... It wouldn't be a
bad idea to bring your bug spray as well!
Please share this note with any new hams/members, or any member you feel
may not get their email in a timely manner.
Bob, ABØBW has agreed to do a talk-in on the 146.82 that evening. He
can be reached by cell for any other questions leading up to the event.
Thanks again for ALL you do to make the RARC successful. See you there!
