RARC Annual Picnic 2007
The RARC annual picnic returned to Oxbow Park this year.  After a brief August business meeting the grill was ready and members and their guests prepared their own entree' and enjoyed a shared dish.

KariAnn KCØWIP and Bob ABØBW arranged a brain teasing "fox hunt with a twist"; the twist being a geo-cache exercise requiring orienteering and search skills including RDF.   Three teams competed their own course with varying degrees of success!

The white team was the most successful, finding the 'fox' through all the clues. The red team called off their search due to darkness. The blue team was close to the 'fox', but couldn't find it. The 'fox' was a small transmitter hidden in a bird feeder covered in bird seed.

All agreed that it was a challenging event and all had fun. Suggestions were made for the next fox hunt we attempt.
